What you doing Mum?

Do your children constantly ask you the same question over and over?

Oliver, my 2 year old is learning new words daily and often surprises me with the range of vocabulary that he uses, you can have a proper little conversation with him.

He does make me laugh with some of the words that he uses, like the other morning when I tried to wake him he just covered himself back up with his blanket, pulled it up above his head and told me to go away

“Mum leave me alone, I want to sleep”

” It’s time to get up Oliver, Mummy has to got to work”

“Mum it’s too difficult for me to wake up, it’s not that easy you know! Give me 2 more minutes”

I had no idea how to answer this one as I wasn’t expecting a child of mine to do that until at least they hit their mid teens!

Oliver’s new words, as of today, is a question and one that he has constantly asked me all day long…….

What you doing Mum? ten seconds later …. What you doing Mum? Ten seconds later …..What you doing Mum?

No matter how many times I answered him he just kept asking me the same question over and over and again

What you doing Mum? I’m tidying up

What you doing Mum? I’m washing up

What you doing Mum? I’m sitting down

What you doing Mum? I’m watching TV

What you doing Mum? I’m talking to you Oliver. Haha No Mum, really, What you doing?

arrrghhhhh! He has made me want to scream, until he asked me the last question before he fell asleep

Ask me what I am doing Mum?

What are doing Oliver? I’m going to sleep Mummy, Love you!

He must have asked me the same question about 10 times in 5 minutes, I wonder what words and conversations tomorrow will bring!
