Oliver is 20 months old now and his brain is like a sponge taking in new things all day long, listening to new words and showing an interest in what is going on around him.
His vocabulary is ever growing and he is saying new words every day, constantly repeating what he has heard, sometimes he babbles on and i don’t understand a word that he is saying and then all of a sudden mid sentence out will pop a word pronounced clearly that i can recognise what it is he is saying.
He understands a lot more than he can say and sometimes i can read his expressions on his face to know what he wants to say. He has the most funniest facial expressions which reflect his mood without being verbal.
I am always talking to him, discussing what we are going to do that day or what we have done, reading books together and singing nursery rhymes, by doing this it should increase his speech and help to fit together sounds to make the words.
His new word that he loves to say all the time is NO! He answers with this word to many questions….
Do you love Mummy? NO
Do you want some juice? NO (then he snatches the cup from me)
Do you like playing? NO
I took a video of him today talking to me
