Love heart biscuits

These biscuits are fit for any prince or princess, lovely and crumbly yet that moist they melt in your mouth.

Jak baked some biscuits yesterday to give out today to his teaches and friends in school today and as is valentines day he used a heart shape cutter and placed some love heart sweets on top to send a little love message.

150g soft butter, cubed
75g caster sugar
225g flour
Tsp vanilla essence

Love hearts for the top
Icing or jam to stick the love hearts on

Put the butter, flour, sugar and a pinch of salt into a bowl and Gently rub in the butter with your fingertips and bring the dough together into a ball. We call this tickling 🙂

Wrap the dough in cling film and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Preheat oven at 170

Roll the dough out onto a floured surface so it is about ½ cm thick. Cut out heart shapes with a biscuit cutter and place onto a lined baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until light golden.

Leave to cool on a rack.

Decorate with a single love heart in the middle stuck on with a blob of icing or some jam.

These are really simple to make, the only help Jak received from me was taking them out of the oven.
