It’s nearly summer holidays and if like me your already trying to organise days out with the children the take a look at LolliBop the big bash for little people. It takes place over the space of the weekend of 17th, 18th and 19th of August in London’s Regents Park. It really is day not to be missed with plenty of entertainment and lots of things to do and a line up that would delight any little festival goer.
I have already told you about the first ever Moshi Monster Mash up Tournament that will be taking place there, this is where children can be challenged to put their Mash Up skills to the test (This is definitely a favourite on my boys) also head over to the Moshi tent for lots of other fun and games including character appearances, monster quizzes and more! but there is plenty more fun and exciting things going on and i wanted to share them with you
Dick and Dom will be taking to the live stage to entertain the crowds with their unique blend of music and games, and if it is anything like the Mini Lollibop we attended back at the beginning of the year the children will not be disappointed. My boys came away grinning from ear to ear and also covered in foam where they got pied lol
Celebrating its first year in the West End, Shrek the Musical will also make a special appearance with a performance from the award-winning show, this will only be happening on the Sunday 19 only though
Mister Maker will also be on hand to demonstrate his unique arts and crafts skills. Mister Maker is a real life character from CBeebies who gets inspiration to make art from everything around him. Packed full of stimulating ideas, set in his own fantasy art world, prepare to expect the unexpected!

The brand new life-size Transformers Optimus Prime Truck will also be at the three day event, giving fans the chance to get up and personal with this movie legend. My boys are going to love this, I have kept this one a secret from them so they will be super excited to being seeing it!
The father and son act Stavros Flatley will be performing Expect hilarious, infectious performances of Cry of The Celts, Lord of The Dance, and Zorba The Greek. With their famous leather trousers, blonde wigs and comical dance moves, the adults will enjoy this one nearly as much as the kids! I can not wait this popular duo have been a favourite of mine for a while, they make me laugh.
The ‘LolliBop Kitchen‘ is an exciting new area, where LolliBoppers will have the chance to learn new skills from live demonstrations and interactive workshops, featuring popular blogger My Daddy Cooks.
The lively band of the Zingzillas will be jumping, jiving and grooving to a selection of their favourite songs to get your children up and moving to music from around the world. They will be performing on all 3 days, Yay! I love these guys, don’t know about you but they make me want to groove along with their songs!
New to LolliBop this year is the The Village Green which will host live music, craft stalls, and even street theatre. Titan the Robot will be performing street theatre on the Village Green, combining comedy and music to create an outstanding show. Titan is a bit of a household name these days, having performed with Will Smith, Jackie Chan, and Rhianna!
You will also be entertained by George Orange with his buzzing variety show, Bowjangles with their classy vocals, hilarious comedy and energetic dance moves. Their will be humour from Mr Armitage and Mr Shanks and Tea for Two will be combining acro balance, manipulation, comedy and magic!
A new ’Tween Town‘ area will feature a number of activities for the slighter older kids including street dance, hula-hooping, magic and beat-boxing workshops, plus an older arts and crafts tent and a brand new laser room! This area is aimed at the 10-12 year olds
Halfords will create a bespoke Bike City at LolliBop, which will include a Wacky Races obstacle course for under 5’s, where children can be the first to try out a brand new range of Balance and Apollo kids bikes. For older kids, highlights include a BMX stunt display and demo area.
For the little ones there is the ‘3ft & Under’ area. Confirmed activities include a mini disco, tiny play, little arts, baby ballet, yoga, teddy bears picnic and sing and sign. There will be two boob and botty boudoirs this year, and covered buggy parks and lollishade areas are also being created.
Old favourites, including ‘LolliSports‘, ‘Imagination Stations‘, ‘Itsy Bitsy Strictly‘ and ‘The Enchanted Forest‘ will all also return for 2012. And if that wasn’t enough, there are plenty of arts and craft activities, face painting and workshops, including circus skills.
