Day 1 C2K 6/365


Today was the first day of my New Year goal, to be able to run 5k.

I’ve downloaded the app rundouble onto my phone and set the settings for couch to 5k.

It starts off with a 5 minute warm up, followed by a 60 second run,  then a 90 second walk. This carries on for about 20 minutes and then it finishes with a 5 minute walk down. The plan consists of three sessions per week for 9 weeks.

I say my alarm this morning for 5:30, and after pressing snooze a couple of times I finally found some energy to get and get dressed ready for my first session.

I was really happy with my first session and will do my next session on Thursday whilst the two eldest are at athletics. I shall have to do it pushing Oliver in a stroller around the park, but I’m sure it will be fun.

  1. Good luck, Ang! I started doing C25K in September and adored it. I’ve had a break over Christmas but will go back to it because I love the walk-run intervals. It suits me x

    1. It’s definitely the way to do it rather than rushing in and jogging straight off. Do you have the app too? X
