This time last year I was 38 weeks pregnant, I had just finished my college course studying childcare and ITQ and I was looking forward to taking the boys into school for their last day. I had gone to bed at about 11ish and woke at 4 o clock in the morning to a big this down below and a POP! This had happened to me when I had Joseph so I knew what was happening, I was in the first stage of labour all I had to do now was wait for the contractions to start and I would soon be holding my baby boy. By 5 o clock I still had no pain but my waters were still leaking and I was showing quite a bit of blood, I called the midwife and she came to my house to assess me, i was booked in to have a home birth. I was sent to the hospital to be checked over by now I was getting a few pains but they wasn’t bad, they certainly didn’t make me hold my breath. I was checked over and sent home but was booked in to return at 12 o clock for my blood pressure to be checked and then If the baby still hadn’t arrived I would have to return to be started off at 4 o clock that afternoon. On the way home from the hospital we popped into asda as Paul wanted a cooked breakfast only the contractions started and we had to leave and come home. The midwife arrived at 9:15 and Oliver was born at 10:11 on the 21st July 2011.
The year has gone too quick and now my baby is turning 1years old tomorrow.
Our first year together has been wonderful and every day he brings a smile to my face.
