Mummy’s Easy Peasy Banana Cake

My mummy used to make me this cake when i was a little girl. I loved it and now i make it for my boy’s and they love it too. My auntie has requseted that i put up the recipe so here it is.

It makes me feel so warm and cosy and smells delicious too.

Luscious with a good dollop of ice-cream or lashings of custard.

Mummy’s Easy Peasy Banana Cake

Ingredients:

8oz Soft Margarine

5oz Caster Sugar(I use golden)

8ox Self Raising Flour

2-3 mashed bananas

2tsp Mixed Spice

2tsp Baking Powder

2 Beaten Eggs

Method:

1/ Preheat oven at 180°, gas mark 4

2/ Place all of the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix together, add the margarine

3/ Put in the beaten eggs and bananas, mix again

4/ Pour into a well greased cake tin

5/ Place into the oven and bake for 50 minutes

6/ Turn the oven down to 160° gas mark 3 and bake for an extra 30 minutes
