How and when do you find the time to………

I have been tagged twice to do this meme that was set up by Sex, Drugs, rocker and stroller baby. Firstly i must apologise to Farfromhomemama as i completely forgot i was tagged a couple of months ago, it was just at the time when Oliver burnt his hands so I don’t think i was thinking straight for a while.

Apologies over, I was tagged by threeyearsandonestonethenhome and Miniskirtandspittingup, two lovely mummies of whose blogs i love to read.

Ok so the rules first are:

– Please post the rules.
– When answering the questions, please give as much detail as possible!
– Leave a comment on Sex, drugs, rocker and stroller, baby so we can keep track of the meme and I can totally steal your routine tips to make my world a happier place.
– Tag 3 or more people and link to them on your blog.

How and when do you find the time to…

….do your laundry?

Gosh I don’t find the time at all. My ironing pile is never ending, what with the OH work and cycling clothes (he commutes to work every day on his bicycle), the boys school uniforms and weekend clothes and the baby’s clothes, my pile never goes down. I like to do it all in one big hit and the less time i spend ironing the better. I’m glad now that the sun has made an appearance as i’m finding it easier to hang out the clothes on the washing line, i love the fresh smell it gives the clothes.

….write a blog post?
I use my Iphone a lot to write-up posts as i have the WordPress app, then i like to tidy the up and finish them off on the laptop. I find that i have most spare time in the morning once i have dropped the boys off at school and Oliver has a nap, I can usually get about an hour or so where i can sit down at the laptop and write. Most of the time though i write while I’m cooking or walking down the street on my phone lol.

….look after yourself…i.e. wash your hair, paint your nails, take a bubble bath etc?
I never paint my finger nails but i do paint my toe nails and i do this once i have had a bath in the evening. Talking about baths, I never get to have a bath to myself, once i put the bubble bath in and turn my back the boys are in it playing or Joseph is throwing his toys into whilst i am soaking. As for washing my hair well, Thank god for dry hair shampoo, that’s all i can say lol

….spend time with your other half?
We never really get to spend time alone together, the last time we did was back in December when we went to Peterborough for a night out with his work colleague and we got to stay in a hotel, it was nice to be together but we missed the boys so much we was up and out of the hotel at 7.30 in the morning and couldn’t wait to get home. As Oliver goes to down to bed at about 10.00 in the evening we are too tired to sit and watch a bit of tv together.

….do fun stuff with your LO?
While only 18 months old, CK is most definitely and outdoor baby and come 8am can be found standing by the front door coat and shoes in hand. On the days that I’m home with him, we spend most mornings out and about shopping, banking, recycling, and other chores. Then it’s back for lunch and a nap and then out to the park or lake. Anywhere where he can run round really.

….spend time with family?
We don’t really see as much as the family as we should do. My dad lives in Yorkshire and my Mum lives about 30 miles away and so do the in-laws. I do like to visit my sister in law as my nephew is the same as my eldest and they get on really well. Once a year my Mummy organises a caravan holiday where all the young grandchildren get to stay with each other for the week and i normally tag along. I would love to see more of my mum as she is my best friend too but i do talk to her every day on the phone.

….socialise with friends?
This is also rare and never really happens. As our boys are getting older we have gained a new circle of friends which resolves around them and their friends. We normally meet up at parties or have days out together. and sometimes we all go out as a family for a meal, which is lovely.

….prepare an evening meal juggling a baby/toddler bedtime routine?
I like to start dinner once we get in from school run, which is normally about 4ish, this way it is ready for when daddy gets in from work, sometimes this never goes to plan though as the boys attend after school clubs, so then i have to dinner later on.

….Find time to read?                                                                                                           I don’t read as much as i would like to as i just can not find the time. I do have an App on my phone where i have a virtual book shelf and i can add books to it so they are there ready for when i find the time. We have two book shelves in our house, one for us and one for the children, story time is very important so i tend read children’s books to the boys instead of my adult novels.

Find time to dance?                                                                                                                                  I dance around the living room with the children but I don’t ever go out dancing anymore, gosh I wouldn’t even know how they dance in nightclubs, I would probably show myself up with my out of place dancing skills lol

….Achieve your goals and dreams?                                                                                 I want to be the best i can in everything i do for the sake of myself and my children. My only goals and dreams now are to be raise my boys up in happy surroundings and hope that they reach their goals.

Now it’s my turn to tag some new bloggers to carry on this fabulous meme
