Five Valleys Cordial Review

Are your taste buds ready to be tantalised?

Do you want to have fun with flavour?

Five Valleys have the answer with their Cordial soft drinks which have unique flavour combinations, they come in a range of 5 unusual and exotic flavours:

  • Sloe and Raspberry with a hint of Vanilla
  • Apricot and Ginger
  • Pomegranate and Rose
  • Lemon and Mint
  • Coconut and Kaffir Lime

All made with ingredients sourced from the best fruit growers from around the world. Five Valleys inspiration comes from the Cotswolds where they are based and if you have been there you could understand why with its gorgeous honey coloured limestone villages and beautiful scenery of rolling hillsides. Husband and Wife team Chris and Becky are behind the refined cordials, following  25 years of shared experience of the drinks industry they decided to head out alone to provide customers with flavours and quality that they think we deserve.

We was sent two bottles 375ml bottles of the cordials to try along with some recipe cards which includes cocktails and dessert recipes. The bottles are very eye-catching and give the sense of quality and richness that lies within, they are sophisticated and sleek and once you read the label with the exciting flavour combinations you are sure to be intrigued as to how they taste!

The cordial is almost syrup like and you are advised to dilute 1 part cordial to 10 parts water, the juice is full of flavour and very pleasant to the taste buds.

The Pomegranate and Rose was a favourite my eldest boy who is 10, he says that it is refreshing and flavoursome and makes him feel grown up when he drinks it. The aroma of the rose is strong and you can pleasantly taste it too.

The Lemon and Mint Cordial made with zingy lemons and summery garden mint is refreshing and crisp, a perfect drink for a hot summers day. I mixed mine up with white rum and lemonade to make a Mojito and I couldn’t get over how much the mint came through in the taste as well as the smell. The aroma is fresh, I love the smell of this drink, it’s bright, summery and very invigorating! I also took advise from the recipe card and made a Lemon and Mint Hottie, orange juice with cordial and honey all heated up in the microwave which made a perfect drink on a cold miserable day.

I found the cordials to be very delectable and delicious, they tasted fresh and invigorating either as an alcoholic beverage or as an adult squash drink. These cordials are ideal as cocktail mixers.

These cordials are available to buy in Waitrose, Cotswold Fayre and Ocado.

I was supplied with 2 bottles of the cordials for the purpose of this review
